less thank 6 months to go
my good lord above in 6 months time
ronnie will be going to school
no longer my baby, my toddler, my pre-schooler
this will make him a really big boy
i imagine it will see oliver and i reduced to tears
all dressed up in his grey shorts and purple blazer
where on earth have the last 3 and a half years gone
first there was a tiny little baby
and 35 hours of labour
then came the sleepless...

my fantastic friend louise
2011 was a strange year
lots of not very nice things happened to close friends and to us too
however my friend louise was dealt the worst of all, her attitude and strength has made everything else seem so very unimportant
back in june, we took a mini holiday, just before we went on our other holiday. the holiday that ronnie refers to as on a plane with matt and lou (different lou). we headed...

you can't choose your family
so christmas is nearly here and as far as christmas goes only ronnie, oliver and nanny minnie really count in my books. if my parents lived in the same country then obviously they would be in the fold too, which fingers crossed maybe sometime soon. however as an only child there’s no siblings for me to concern myself with and actually looking at friends and families siblings, i’d much rather have...

hit the road jack
yesterday i had a very stressed friend of mine quizzing me on what to do about getting shot of her daughters beloved dummy. she really had gotten herself into quite a tiz and knew it that it needed to be done, but the thought of making the first move was terrifying her. weirdly i came home and someone tweeted exactly the same thing. so i have decided to care to share.

beginnings
instead of sharing the moment we found out that i/we were pregnant, i thought i’d share the moment my parents found out that their one and only was with child.
for as long as i can remember i’ve not really liked babies. amongst all my friends i was the one that was likely not to have a child any time in the near future.

a gift
i really couldn’t quite believe my eyes today, as i read a story in the papers about a book that has been published, called “a gift for muslim couples” and what a gift it is. it is indeed a guide for muslim husbands on how to deal with marriage, the pitfalls and on what issues may cause the breakdown of the marriage, and how to ensure you have a successful marriage.
this is something that could...
